Moesgaard Museum accommodates archaeological and ethnographic exhibitions, special exhibitions and student exhibitions.

The museum also has an auditorium, conference rooms, a café, a gift shop, and a grass covered roof where visitors can enjoy the view of the forest, the ocean, and the beautiful landscape surrounding Moesgaard Manor – the previous home of Moesgaard Museum.

The historical building, The Moesgaard Manor, is home of the museum administration and Aarhus University offices and student facilities. There is no public access to the buildings, but you are most welcome to enjoy the beautiful landscape around the new museum, the old manor and enjoy a walk in the park or a walk to Moesgaard Beach.

The close combination of science with new ways of displaying the artefacts and the use of technology is characteristic for the exhibitions of Moesgaard Museum.

Henning Larsen Architects A/S and the practice of landscape architect Kirstine Jensen designed the exhibition building which opened in 2014.
